Preparing the youth for the vocation of marriage – presenting ‘9 Months in 9 Lesons Program’ |
Abstract
The Constitution of Hungary declares that the family and the nation are regarded as the foundation of community. From the beginning of conception it proclaims the protection of life and human dignity. Marriage is a cohabitation between a man and a woman, in which the woman (mother) and man (father) are the basis of the family relationship within the parent-child relationship. The child has the right to be brought up by his or her parents.
The foundation of a prosperous nation must be a solid, absolute monogamous moral order because it is a framework of stable families and nations, and a loving family background is needed for the development of the personality of children. Having the current high rate of divorces we were looking for a solution and best practice that can be incorporated into our program to help building and maintaining stable families. Marriage is a vocation, it is considered as a life vocation. We consider it important to prepare young people for this. We see that further education and choosing a profession is currently more conscious than making a decision about a vocation which is often based on an impulse.
9 months in 9 lessons (9H9O), this is the starting point of our arming program, to be aware of the wonders of life, and a happy life is realized in loving relationships. Young people need to be prepared for conscious choice of a partner, for a responsible couple relationship. In addition to monitoring the development of fetal life, each month we learn about the skills that help marriage and childbearing: hormonal processes, fertility, nutritional and financial issues, household management, infant care skills, and the power of chastity.
