LECTORI SALUTEM
The Family Science Alliance launches a newsletter to report on its current events, to reflect on some of the important news in its field, and to present thoughts considered as important due to their timeliness.
The Family Science Alliance is presented both in Hungarian and English in it’s website, so here we only mention that the Members are organisations and it was founded to protect and promote family values.
This is also the newsletter of the European Family Science Society. The values and main objectives of the two organisations are the same. While the members of the European Family Science Society are individuals, being an organisation it is a member of the Family Science Alliance.
The newsletter contains thematic columns.

Reflections on Marriage and Family Part I: Chastity-Based Marriage, that is Absolute Monogamy as the Condition of Civilization and the Key to Human Flourishing (Dr. Imre Balásházy)
Look at the price of the ‘sexual revolutions’ of the twentieth century: over a billion broken relationships, and over a billion broken families, two billion abortions, hundreds of millions of people with mental illnesses, who knows how many millions of suicides, burnt-out lives, large number of intimate partner violence, loneliness, physical and mental illnesses, a multitude of nations that possibly will be extinct because of the demographic crisis, and so on. The devastation caused is far greater than that of World War I and World War II combined, so it may be considered as World War III, and it is still not over, it has been globalized and is finding new forms that are increasingly morbid, so it is attacking the institution of marriage on several fronts.
This introductory paper highlights some important conceptions about marriage and family and outlines the first front of attacks on marriage, namely the spread of free love, or in other words, the abolishing of chastity-based marriage (absolute monogamy). It concludes that the survival of our civilization, individual happiness, and health is impossible if we do not return to the general acceptance of chastity-based marriage. Without this, the demographic crisis cannot be resolved in a humane way.
There has been a war for many decades against the institution of marriage and the family, which is now global. These attacks have come and are coming on several fronts and from the side of sexuality.
SPIRITUALITY
The TIME has come for COOPERATION (László PRIBÉK MSc, STL, SF, PM, marriage- and family theologian)
“As the FAMILY goes, so goes the NATION and so goes the WHOLE WORLD, in which we live.” /Pope Saint John Paul II, 1986 Perth, Australia/
A fable about the frog
If you put a frog in a pot and heat it on the fire, the frog will not feel the heat and will eventually cook. But if you throw the frog into hot water, it will jump out immediately.

EYC – Empowered Youth Coalition
What is EYC?
EYC is an organisation that unites young people around the world to dare to stand up for family and defend life. Founded by Sharon Slater, who is also the President of Family Watch International, the global organisation is passionate about speaking out against the so-called comprehensive sex education and LGBTQ rights for young people. Another important figure, Sharon’s daughter Jessica Taylor, co-founder of the organisation, is also a radical pro-life and family studies graduate. Her goal is to fight for women’s rights, to educate them about the harmful effects abortion has on them both physically and mentally.
MEDIA OFFER
1.) Trans Mission: What’s the Rush to Reassign Gender?
The Center for Bioethics and Culture Network (CBC) addresses bioethical issues that most profoundly affect our humanity, especially issues that arise in the lives of the most vulnerable among us. We work through a variety of media platforms—documentary film, writing, speaking, interviews, social media, and more—to educate and inform members of the general public, thought leaders, lawmakers, and others on ethical issues in healthcare, biomedical research, and biotechnological advancement.
This documentary on gender reassignment surgery (nearly 50 min) includes interview with experts and doctors who support and oppose the procedure, as well as patients who have undergone gender reassignment surgery.
The results are devastating.
The film caught the attention of the Family Science Association, which contacted the Centre. Thanks to the film’s producers and distributors for allowing the film to be subtitled in Hungarian.
2.) Imre Bedő: Absolute monogamy as a social pillar
A selection from our May conference
The institution of monogamy is under general attack. In parallel, we are witnessing a complete disintegration of the Western world and culture. No children are being born, families are no longer fulfilling their function and neither the moral foundations nor the family unit are being inherited. At a social level, at a cultural level, we need to put back into place the fact that monogamy and absolute monogamy are one of the most important issues of social organisation, and one that is much more complex than the living of sexuality.
